As many of you know, we owe a huge debt of gratitude to Pete Hyland, who has generously overseen various repair and renewal projects at Breedon Church in recent years. His dedication has played a major role in maintaining and caring for our beautiful, historic building. Pete has now expressed his wish to step back from his role as Acting Church Warden, and so far, we’ve not found anyone to take on this vital area of church life. That’s where you might come in.
We’re looking for someone (or possibly a small team) to help coordinate ongoing building maintenance and improvement work. The good news is; you don’t need to be a skilled tradesperson!

This is more of a project coordination role—liaising with contractors, unlocking the church if needed, showing people around the site, helping chase up quotes, and keeping things moving with the support and guidance of our church architect. Breedon Church is a listed building, so we do need to work within certain guidelines—but you’ll be supported every step of the way. It’s a really rewarding way to be part of the life and legacy of our church, and your time and energy would be deeply appreciated.

With best wishes,
Debbie – Volunteer Co-ordinator Breedon PCC
