Memorials & Headstones
Churchyards are governed by law and only certain memorials can be authorised by the Team Rector in line with the churchyard regulations. The regulations for Breedon are based on those for the Diocese of Leicester. Usually, only headstones formed out of natural stone are permitted with the addition that black polished granite stone is allowed at Breedon. A link to our full churchyard regulations can be viewed here.
Flowers and Churchyard Regulations
We kindly ask all visitors and families to respect the churchyard regulations, which also apply to the placing of flowers.
- All packaging must be removed from fresh flowers before they are placed on graves.
- Artificial flowers are permitted only for Remembrance and Christmas, and all seasonal flowers should be removed within four weeks after the festival date.
These guidelines help us maintain the churchyard as a peaceful and respectful resting place for all. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation in these matters.
