Enjoy a gentle wander through our historic village and uncover some of its special spots. Start at the village green, where youโll find a collection of memorial trees, each lovingly planted in remembrance of our Fallen Men, a reflective space to pause and remember.
Just a short walk away on Main Street, youโll discover the little Pinfold herb garden, tucked beside the old village lock-up. Itโs said the lock-up was built using stone from the prioryโs nave after its demolition โ a piece of local legend and history rolled into one. If you would like to know more about the villageโs rich heritage visit our heritage page. The start of footpaths up to the church are shown on the MAP.
Open Gardens -From 10am a selection of local gardens will be opened by generous residents. There is usually a great selection to visit, each with a different story around the design. The gardens have friendly hosts who love to chat & share their stories. You may also find that some open gardens will have items for sale.
Summer Fair – There will be a number of stalls in the village hall with a carefully selected group of local people offering crafts and services all keen to support the local parish church.
