Churchyard & Regulations
We recognise that the death of a loved one is one of the most difficult experiences in life and we want to do all we can to support you at this time.
There will be many decisions to be made, including that of the final resting place of your loved one, and, if you are considering the churchyard at Breedon, we want to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is and is not permitted.

You will find dedicated pages with helpful information covering all aspects of the churchyard in the dropdown menu under this Churchyard tab. The churchyard is governed by the Regulations of the Diocese of Leicester, under whose jurisdiction we fall. These regulations cover various aspects of churchyard management, including headstone designs, inscriptions, the maintenance of graves and cremated remains.
To avoid any misunderstandings or difficulties later on, we encourage you to read the Flagstaff Family of Churches regulations carefully. It’s also a good idea to have a conversation with our Team Rector, Rev. Canon Sue Field, who will be happy to guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have.
