🌸 Open Gardens – What a Blooming Success
We’re delighted to share that the event raised over £600 for Breedon Parish Church. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who made this year’s Breedon Open Gardens such a wonderful community event.
A very special thank you goes to Barrie and Vicky, whose hard work, enthusiasm and support played a huge part in making the day such a success. We are incredibly grateful for everything they did. To everyone who opened gardens, visited, volunteered, baked, chatted, donated or simply came along to enjoy the day – thank you! Your generosity and support continue to help our church flourish.
☕ Café Church – A warm welcome guaranteed
Our next Café Church takes place on Saturday 8 August, from 10.00am–11.30am, and then on every second Saturday of the month. The best bit? It’s completely FREE! An opportunity to meet and greet others, spend an hour or so in good company, enjoy some hospitality or some quiet reflective time in our beautiful church. An opportunity to simply take a break from a busy week . . . . . you’ll be assured of a very warm welcome.
At 11.00am there will be a short ‘Thought for the Day’ – a gentle reflection to round off the morning. We’d love to see you there!
⚔️ Step Back in Time This September!
This September 5th, Breedon Hill will be transformed into a fascinating 15th-century medieval encampment. Come and discover how our ancestors lived, worked and played hundreds of years ago. Expect living history, demonstrations and plenty of family fun! It’s set to be a fantastic day out for the whole family.
There’ll also be:
- Guided church tours with Rachel Askew, our former Heritage Officer
- Stalls featuring talented local crafters
- Traditional games
- Something for all ages
🐶 Well-behaved dogs on leads are very welcome too!
🌾 Harvest Supper – Save the Date!
As autumn arrives, we’re looking forward to one of our favourite community evenings, our annual Barn Dance. Don’t worry if you haven’t done this before as a The Derbyshire Ranters will talk you through the the moves & steps once you get started.

Join us for a delicious, great-value supper, plenty of laughter and a chance to celebrate the harvest together.
